I have always loved PAX. My Wife and I went back in 2008 and I was so overstimulated that I could not sleep more than a couple hours each night. PAX is a wonder-filled world of games, gamers and industry events. PAX has grown so big that it fills up to capacity of about 55 thousand attendees from around the world per event in all 4 of its geographical locations.
Over the years, I have attended PAX as a blogger and podcaster with a media pass. A media pass allows one access to the exhibit show floor earlier than the public as well as gain exclusive time with developers and VIP appointments to play popular games instead of standing hours in line.
There are also great parties at PAX. I was part of a website that threw a party for 3 years in a row to raise funds for Children's Miracle Network. There's always great food, drinks, music, games, prizes and great friends from all around the world that I have had the privilege of getting to know over the years. PAX has become a time to reunite with these friends, and in recent years, more time is spent socializing than looking at exhibits or even gaming!
This year will be my first time attending PAX as an Exhibiter! Getting into PAX as an attendee is hard enough as passes sell out within an hour after they go on sale online. Securing a booth as an exhibiter is just as difficult. Long story made short, it took 6 months of emails before we were offered an opening. On a whim, I emailed the good folks who run PAX last week and was offered a booth! This left us less than two weeks to book lodging, recruit the staff, design and acquire resources for the booth. However it is worth it as I am excited and get butterflies in my stomach every time I think about PAX this year and introducing Glomtom to hordes of my fellow gamers.
The is a great opportunity for Glomtom. Finally people will have a chance to try the Glomtom themselves and see the difference it makes with their gaming. It will also be a grand introduction to the industry including the media. We can't wait to see more of how the Glomtom delights people. Its gonna be a ride and we can't wait to see you at booth 6120!! -clif
